FUTSAL

LEGACY

Countless athletes of national and international prestige have begun their soccer careers in the black-and-white youth soccer categories over the years. We know that Futsal Santos FC, a reference in Brazil, has always been an excellent contributor to the training and learning processes of the future Village Boys.

Over the last decades, we have had the opportunity to witness in our facilities the main names revealed by the club. Among these players who have become a worldwide reference, we can mention some of them: Ex. Robinho, Diego, Neymar, Gabriel Barbosa (Gabibol), Rodrygo Góes. Adding to these names, many other black and white players started their careers in Futsal and became quality professionals, strengthening, even more, Futsal’s contribution to Soccer: Ex. Felipe Anderson, Emerson Palmieri, Alan Patrick, Marcelo, Adriano, Thiago Carleto, Neílton, Júnior Moraes, among others.

Taking a look at the professional team’s squad, it is common to notice that there are always athletes who played Futsal at the club, as well as the main highlights in the youth category

As part of the Club’s potential to reveal new players, in 2018 it was decided, through a presidential ordinance, that the Futsal Department would be part of the Grassroots Football Department, thus further improving the structure, attraction, training, training methodology, and integration between professionals and athletes.

NATIONAL FUTSAL LEAGUE

To the delight of Santos fans, in 2011 the club’s futsal team invested for the first time in a high performance team. In a short time of work, the Santos FC futsal team was already considered one of the best in Brazil, winning the traditional Gramado Tournament. After a flawless campaign throughout the year, the apex of success came with the conquest of the National Futsal League, making Santos FC the first team from São Paulo to win this competition.

This unprecedented title was led by the greatest player in the history of the sport, Falcão, and by the experienced futsal coach Fernando Ferretti, who brought to this project the main athletes of the sport at the time, such as Djony, Neto, Valdin, Indío, Jé, Jackson and Pixote.
